In essence a group airport transfer means you hiring the vehicle for yourself and your friends/colleagues - in the same way you would hire a taxi. This gives you a lot more flexibility than just getting a scheduled transfer or shared transfer as you can tell the driver where and when you want to go to your ski resort.

Group airport transfers when booked ensure that you are provided with the right size of vehicle for your group size. Whether that is a minibus for a small group, or a double decker coach for up to 70 passengers. In almost all cases, your driver will be awaiting your arrival and once all your gear is loaded, you will be transported directly to your ski resort hotels and chalets.

Value for money-wise, group airport transfers are probably the cheapest option for convenience between the airport and your accommodation in resort. You also have to look at it as a way to reduce stress and hassle (unless you are the one organising the group of friends ;) )
